Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is visiting India in response to an invitation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Prachanda will attend Modi’s swearing-in ceremony in New Delhi today, accompanied by his daughter and a delegation of high-ranking officials from Nepal. After the ceremony, he will return to Kathmandu.
During a telephone conversation, Prachanda expressed his willingness to collaborate with the newly formed Indian government.
The recent Lok Sabha elections resulted in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) securing 293 seats, while Modi’s party, the Bharatiya Janata Party, won 240 seats.
This visit aims to strengthen Nepal-India relations. It’s a significant event that underscores the importance of regional cooperation and diplomacy.
