Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ has flown to Delhi to attend the swearing-in ceremony of India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Accompanying Prachanda on this official visit are his daughter, Ganga Dahal, and a delegation of high-ranking officials from the Nepalese government. After the ceremony, Prachanda is scheduled to return to Kathmandu on June 10.

The visit was confirmed after a phone conversation between Dahal and Modi, during which Modi extended a formal invitation to his Nepali counterpart.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time a Nepali Prime Minister has attended Modi’s swearing-in ceremony. Back in 2014, the then-Prime Minister Late Sushil Koirala participated in the same event, where heads of state and government from various South Asian countries gathered.
The recent Lok Sabha elections in India resulted in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) securing 293 seats, while Modi’s party, the Bharatiya Janata Party, clinched 240 seats.
It’s a significant moment for both nations, emphasizing the importance of diplomatic relations and regional cooperation.
