Qatar’s Emir Returns Home concluding state visit to Nepal

Concluding his two-day state visit to Nepal, Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar returned home on Wednesday afternoon. During his visit, significant diplomatic engagements took place, and eight bilateral agreements were signed between Qatar and Nepal.

President Ram Chandra Poudel, Vice President Ram Shaya Prasad Yadav, Speaker Dev Raj Ghimire, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, and Foreign Minister Narayankaji Shrestha bid farewell to Emir Al Thani at the Tribhuvan International Airport.

Emir Al Thani’s visit, initiated upon the invitation of President Ram Chandra Paudel, underscored the commitment to bolstering bilateral relations between the two countries.

This visit by Emir Al Thani signifies a significant milestone in the strengthening of bilateral ties between Nepal and Qatar.

Notably, it also represents the first high-level delegation from the Gulf nations to Nepal. The fruitful discussions and agreements forged during this visit are expected to contribute positively to the continued cooperation and friendship between the two nations.
