The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, expressed his gratitude towards Nepal following his recent visit, marking his first official tour to the Himalayan nation.
After returning to Doha, he posted a message on social media platform X, highlighting the warm reception and productive discussions held with Nepali leaders.
During his two-day state visit, which concluded on Wednesday, the Emir engaged in extensive talks with Nepali officials, focusing on strengthening economic ties and exploring new avenues for cooperation between Qatar and Nepal.
Discussions also encompassed potential investments and collaborative projects that could benefit both nations.
This visit is seen as a significant step in fortifying the relationship between Qatar and Nepal. Both countries express keen interest in expanding their interactions beyond the current labor and economic engagements.
Notably, Qatar hosts a large number of Nepali migrant workers, and the talks have been pivotal in addressing their rights and welfare while broadening the scope of bilateral relations.
