Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar engaged in productive discussions with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal during his two-day state visit to Nepal.
The Qatar Emir arrived in Kathmandu on Tuesday afternoon, officially initiating his visit.
This morning, the leaders convened at Hotel Solti for their meeting, where they were expected to sign various bilateral agreements, totaling eleven in number.

Among these agreements, Nepal is poised to finalize a new labor pact with Qatar, recognizing it as a key destination for Nepali migrant workers. Currently, approximately 370,000 Nepali laborers are employed in Qatar.
Later in the afternoon, Prime Minister Dahal will host a lunch in honor of Emir Al Thani at Hotel Dwarika.
This visit underscores the strengthening of bilateral ties between the two nations.
Emir Al Thani’s visit to Nepal, upon the invitation of President Ram Chandra Paudel, commenced with a courtesy call on President Paudel on Tuesday.
The visit was further enriched by a dinner featuring diverse cultural presentations.
Upon his arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, President Paudel warmly received the Emir. Subsequently, bilateral discussions took place at the Presidential Office in Sheetal Niwas, led by Emir Al Thani himself.
