Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has announced that preparations are underway to receive the report from the Eminent Persons Group (EPG) on Nepal-India relations.
In a meeting of the National Concern and Coordination Committee under the National Assembly, the Prime Minister emphasized that internal preparations have been initiated to receive the report simultaneously from both countries.
The EPG report has been a topic of concern, particularly in light of India’s reluctance to accept it. Responding to the lawmakers’ apprehensions, the Prime Minister stated that Nepal may need to make a decision if there are no conditions for receiving the EPG report jointly from both sides.
The EPG was jointly established by the governments of Nepal and India to review and assess past agreements signed between the two nations.
