Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal is currently on a diplomatic mission to India, where she recently held a significant meeting with India’s Minister of External Affairs, Dr. S. Jaishankar.
During their meeting in Delhi, Minister Jaishankar expressed his delight in welcoming Secretary Lamsal and highlighted the positive progress achieved across various dimensions of bilateral relations between India and Nepal.
Secretary Lamsal’s visit to India coincides with her participation in the eighth Asia Economic Dialogue (AED 2024), scheduled to take place in Pune from February 29th to March 2nd, 2024. As part of the delegation, she will actively engage in the opening session of the dialogue, where representatives from multiple countries will address crucial economic issues.
During her visit, Secretary Lamsal is also set to hold bilateral discussions with India’s Foreign Secretary, Vinay Mohan Kwatra.
The Asia Economic Dialogue, jointly organized by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs and the Pune International Centre, serves as a vital platform for deliberating on regional economic challenges and exploring opportunities.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed the participation of Secretary Lamsal’s delegation in this multilateral conference, emphasizing its significance in fostering regional cooperation and dialogue.
Following her engagements in India, Foreign Secretary Lamsal is scheduled to return to Kathmandu on March 1st, 2024, carrying forward the momentum of collaboration and partnership between Nepal and India.
