Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. Megan Bouldin and Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle met to discuss over $36 million in United States flood assistance committed following the August floods as the leading donor to Nepal’s recovery effort.
Bouldin emphasized how American companies and technology can play a key role in reconstruction. She also noted that the Millennium Challenge Compact is already helping Nepal recover by strengthening the country’s electric and transportation systems.
Looking past disaster recovery, Bouldin highlighted how US technology can drive Nepal’s digital transformation reforms. She added that the implementation of business-friendly reforms can create opportunities for US companies.
