Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, currently on an official visit to Spain to attend the United Nations’ Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development, met with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez on Sunday.
According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, the two leaders held discussions on a range of bilateral and international issues.
PM Oli arrived in Madrid, where he was received at Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport by Nepali Ambassador to Spain Shanil Nepal, Nepal’s Permanent Representative to the UN Lok Bahadur Thapa, and senior officials from Spain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Nepali delegation, led by PM Oli, is scheduled to travel to Seville later in the evening—the main venue of the conference.
Earlier in the day, PM Oli also held a meeting with Tanzanian Vice President Dr. Philip Mpango at Hamad International Airport in Doha during a brief stopover en route to Spain. The two leaders discussed various aspects of bilateral relations. Prime Minister Oli’s Principal Advisor, Bishnu Prasad Rimal, along with other officials from his delegation, were also present.
