Foreign Minister Deuba Commences First Official Visit to India

Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba has arrived in New Delhi for an official four-day visit to India, following a cordial invitation from her Indian counterpart, S. Jaishankar.

This marks her first visit to India since assuming office.

During her stay, Minister Deuba is set to hold bilateral talks with her Indian counterpart, focusing on shared interests, cooperation, and the further strengthening of relations between the two countries.

Accompanying Minister Deuba is Bhrigu Dhungana, Chief of the South Asia Division at Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to the Ministry, this visit is part of the ongoing exchange of high-level visits between Nepal and India, aimed at consolidating the longstanding, deep, and multifaceted ties between the two nations.

Minister Deuba is expected to return home on August 22.

India’s Ministry of External Affairs warmly welcomed Minister Deuba, highlighting that her visit continues the tradition of regular high-level bilateral exchanges and reflects the unique and close relationship between the two countries.
