President Paudel Embarks on Tour to Switzerland and Germany

President Ramchandra Paudel has left for Switzerland to participate in the inaugural Forum of the Global Coalition for Social Justice. The event is being held during the High-level Segment of the 112th Session of the International Labour Conference.

At Tribhuvan International Airport, Vice-President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ bid farewell to President Paudel. The Nepali Army honored him with a special salute on this occasion.

The farewell gathering included National Assembly Chairman, Deputy Prime Minister, Ministers, constitutional body chiefs, security body chiefs, and other dignitaries.

During his visit, President Paudel will address the inaugural Forum of the Global Coalition for Social Justice on June 13. He is also scheduled to hold bilateral talks with Swiss counterpart Viola Amherd on June 12.

Following Switzerland, President Paudel will travel to Berlin on June 15 for an official visit to Germany, at the invitation of German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. Official talks between the two presidents are set for June 17.

Accompanying the President is his spouse, Sabita Paudel. The delegation also includes President’s Foreign Affairs Expert Dr. Suresh Chandra Chalise, the Secretary of the Office of the President, the Foreign Affairs Secretary, and Nepal’s Ambassadors to Switzerland and Germany. President Paudel is expected to return to Kathmandu on June 19.
