The Nepali government has recalled its ambassadors from 11 countries, including India and the United States.
During a cabinet meeting held on Thursday, it was decided to shorten the tenures of the ambassadors who were appointed based on recommendations from the Nepali Congress and Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal.
The ambassadors recalled representing India, the US, the UK, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Spain, Malaysia, Portugal, Denmark, and Israel.
Nepal’s Ambassador to India Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma, Gyan Chandra Acharya for UK, Sharmila Parajuli Dhakal for Spain, Ram Rai for Denmark, Prof. Sridhar Khatri for the USA, Kanta Rijal for Israel, Prada Jyoti Pyakurel (Bhandari) for South Korea, Nawaraj Subedi for Saudi Arabia, Naresh Bikram Dhakal for Qatar and Dilliraj Poudel, Nepal’s ambassador to Malaysia have been recalled.
