Nepal Investment Summit 2024 Inaugurated: Showcasing 150 Projects

The Third Nepal Investment Summit 2024 has commenced in Kathmandu. Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda inaugurated this significant event.

The two-day summit provides a crucial opportunity for investors, with several projects at various stages of implementation being presented during the conference.

Finance Minister Varshman Pun emphasized that Nepal is an ideal country for investment. Over 1,600 individuals are actively participating in this third investment summit.

The Office of the Investment Board of Nepal extended invitations to more than 2,400 individuals.

Representatives from 55 countries are attending the summit, with 385 participants representing Nepal. Notably, China leads the way with 265 participants, followed by 143 from India, 33 from the US, 28 from Japan, 14 from the UK, and 13 each from Bangladesh and the UAE. Germany also contributes with 10 participants.

Additionally, there are nine participants each from South Korea, Australia, and Malaysia, eight from Pakistan, six from Singapore, and five each from Qatar and Ghana. Representatives from Saudi Arabia, France, and Bahrain will be four each, while three participants each hail from Switzerland, Finland, Russia, Austria, Sri Lanka, and Colombia.

The summit will showcase 150 projects across 23 stalls, with 19 projects specifically seeking letters of intent in preparation for the event. The first day includes an opening session followed by two major sessions, while the second and final day features 11 parallel sessions.
