The Nepal Investment Summit 2024 is set to begin in Kathmandu today (Sunday).
Over 1,600 individuals have confirmed their participation in the third Nepal Investment Summit, set to commence.

Invitations were extended to more than 2,400 individuals, emphasizing the Summit’s significance on the global investment stage.
Participants from 55 countries have converged to explore investment opportunities in Nepal.
Country Representations
China leads the pack with 265 participants, demonstrating its keen interest in Nepal’s economic prospects.
India follows closely with 143 participants, reaffirming the strong bilateral ties between the two nations.
Other notable representations include 33 participants from the US, 28 from Japan, 14 from the UK, and 13 each from Bangladesh and the UAE.
Germany, with 10 participants, also joins the summit.
Showcasing Investment Projects
The Summit features a total of 150 projects across 23 stalls, providing a platform for investors to explore diverse sectors.
19 projects are specifically seeking letters of intent, signaling their readiness for collaboration and development.
Event Structure
The first day commenced with an opening session, setting the tone for productive discussions.
Two major sessions followed, allowing participants to delve into critical investment themes.
The second and final day promises 11 parallel sessions, fostering deeper engagement and networking.

The Office of the Investment Board of Nepal has stated that invitations were extended to over 2,400 individuals.
Participants from 55 countries will attend the summit, with 385 representing Nepal.
China will be prominently represented with 265 participants, followed by 143 from India, 33 from the US, 28 from Japan, 14 from the UK, 13 from Bangladesh and the UAE respectively, and 10 from Germany.
Additionally, nine participants each will arrive from South Korea, Australia, and Malaysia, eight from Pakistan, six from Singapore, and five each from Qatar and Ghana.
Representatives from Saudi Arabia, France, and Bahrain will be four each, while three participants each will come from Switzerland, Finland, Russia, Austria, Sri Lanka, and Colombia.
Two participants each are expected from the Philippines, Kuwait, Canada, Mauritius, Belarus, and Belgium.
Participation has also been confirmed from Egypt, Italy, Norway, Senegal, the Netherlands, Poland, Indonesia, Tajikistan, South Africa, Romania, Mexico, and Cyprus.
Additionally, Ireland, Slovenia, Vietnam, Bosnia, Morocco, Turkey, Vanuatu, Mauritania, and Hong Kong will be represented.
The Summit will showcase a total of 150 projects across 23 stalls, with 19 projects specifically seeking letters of intent in preparation for the event.
