Chinese Military Official’s Diplomatic Visit to Nepal

Major General Zhang Baoqun, Deputy Chief of the International Military Cooperation Office of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, held a cordial meeting with Chief of the Army Staff (CoAS) General Prabhu Ram Sharma at the Army Headquarters on Sunday.

During the meeting, they discussed various aspects of the relationship between the two neighboring countries, as well as matters of mutual interest concerning the Nepali Army and the Chinese People’s Liberation Army.

This information was conveyed in a press statement issued by the Directorate of Public Relations and Information (DPR&I).

Brigadier General Krishna Prasad Bhandari, who serves as the Director for DPR&I and is also the Nepali Army Spokesperson, shared that Major General Zhang, who arrived in Nepal for a four-day visit on Saturday, is scheduled to explore various cultural and tourist sites in Kathmandu, Lumbini, and Pokhara.

Following the conclusion of the visit, the six-member team will depart for China on March 12.
