Sun Haiyan, the Vice Minister of the Communist Party of China’s International Liaison Department, paid Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ a courtesy call.
According to PM Prachanda’s Foreign Affairs Advisor Rupak Sapkota, two leaders discussed a range of bilateral welfare and interest issues during their meeting this morning at the prime minister’s official house in Baluwatar.
At the CPN’s invitation, Vice Minister Sun came here on Friday for a formal four-day visit (Maoist Center). During her visit to Nepal, she is expected to attend high-level political meetings.
Vice Minister Sun Haiyan is expected to engage in high-level political meetings throughout her stay in Nepal, further strengthening the ties between the two countries.
In addition to the PM, the delegation is anticipated to meet with several prominent individuals, such as Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and UML Chair KP Oli.
On January 28, Vice Minister Sun will also give a speech at a symposium about relations between China and Nepal at Hotel Solti.
