A delegation from the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) arrived in Kathmandu on Friday for a four-day visit to Nepal.
The delegation is led by Sun Haiyan, Vice Minister of the Chinese Communist Party’s International Department.

Haiyan was welcomed by various Nepali and Chinese officials including Nepal Communist Party Maoist Center’s Deputy General Secretary Pampha Bhusal and Chinese ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song.
Vice Minister Sun is scheduled to meet with top political party leaders during her stay in Kathmandu. On Friday, she will talk with Rabi Lamichhane, the chairperson of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).

Likewise, the delegation has a meeting scheduled with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, on Saturday.
In addition to the PM, the delegation is anticipated to meet with several prominent individuals, such as Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and UML Chair KP Oli.
On January 28, Vice Minister Sun will also give a speech at a symposium about relations between China and Nepal at Hotel Solti.

It is expected that this visit will strengthen the bilateral relations between China and Nepal and promote cooperative dialogue on issues of shared interest.
