The Mayor of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Balen Shah, has stated that he would be willing to lend technical assistance for the development of cultural structures that highlight Kathmandu’s history in Boulder, a city in Clark County, Nevada, United States.
Aaron Brockett, the mayor of Boulder City, met with him on Thursday to discuss diplomatic matters. He offered his idea to have the Nepali population in Boulder City construct cultural facilities, stressing that both parties would need to participate in this project.

Balen responded by saying, “We want to contribute to the activities that will enhance the relationship between the two cities.”
It is thought that cultural structures facilitate reciprocal social interaction. Brockett brought out the public-level cordial relationship based on familial ties during the meeting. He has invited Mayor Shah to attend an overview of Boulder City’s urban management and briefed him on the work being done by the Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
Sisterhood links between the two cities were established on April 29, 2076 B.S. (Vaisakh 29). The sisterhood agreement was signed and reaffirmed by the mayors of the two cities at the meeting.
