On the fringes of the 19th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit in Kampala, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar held a meeting.
The leaders engaged in discussions on bilateral interests and cooperation, as confirmed by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting took place on Friday, coinciding with the commencement of the NAM summit in Uganda’s capital, Kampala.
At the NAM, this year, leaders from 93 governments debated UN reforms, climate change, and the global debt crisis under the topic of “Deepening Cooperation for Shared Global Affluence.”
Arab state delegates called for talks in Gaza and stated that the organization needed to declare its position on the conflict between Israel and Hamas, the militant Palestinian organization.
