King of Bhutan Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck has arrived in Kathmandu on an unofficial visit on Friday morning.
King Wangchuck was received by Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Rana Arzu Deuba, at the Tribhuvan International Airport.
Bhutanese King Wangchuck is scheduled to visit Swayambhu Maha chaitya and Bouddhanath Stupa.
He went straight from the airport. He went to Swayambhunath via Sinamangal-Tinkune-Nayabaneswar-Maitighar-Thapathali-Tripureswar-Teku-Kalimati-Tahachal-Chhauni.
After darshan and worship at Swayambhu, he is scheduled to visit Boudhanath. He will return to Tribhuvan International Airport. He is scheduled to return to the airport at 2: 40 p.m.
Security arrangements have been tightened in view of the arrival of the King of Bhutan in Kathmandu. Last Wednesday, the Nepal Army rehearsed for his security arrangements at Tribhuvan International Airport.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), Bhutanese King Wangchuck landed in Kathmandu on the way to his home country Bhutan from India.
