CPN-UML lawmaker Lilanath Shrestha has called for implementing the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) agreement.
Speaking during the special hour of the House of Representatives on Monday, MP Shrestha emphasized the importance of the BRI project for Nepal’s development and the bilateral credibility between Nepal and China.
MP Shrestha addressed the various opinions surrounding the BRI projects and urged the government to move forward with their implementation, highlighting that the memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed with Nepal’s interests in mind.
He said, “It is an important plan between the two countries. The current government should advance the agreement in Nepal’s interest. There are no two opinions on this. It is a matter of trust between the two countries.”
