Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has lauded the Nepali Army’s significant contribution to safeguarding national interests and welfare.
Speaking at the Commissioning of Parade of Officer Cadet Course held at the Military Academy in Kharipati, the Prime Minister emphasized the NA’s roles in disaster management, ecological conservation, and development efforts that promote national interests.
He highlighted that the Nepali Army (NA) has played a crucial role in global recognition of Nepal as a country of world peacekeepers. Their contributions have been instrumental in establishing peace in crisis-hit nations worldwide. Nepal achieved the top rank in terms of sending peacekeepers in November 2022, further solidifying its commitment to world peace.

Acknowledging the security challenges posed by multi-dimensional conflicts, climate change, and pandemics, the NA actively assesses potential threats to Nepal and its citizens. The dedication of the NA personnel ensures effective responses to these challenges.
During the course, 24 foreigners participated, and outstanding performances were recognized. Notably, Dipendra Kadayat, Dipa Ghimire, Bibek Adhikari, Minish Khadka, and Sepur Rahman from Bangladesh received honors.
Minister for Defense, Hari Prasad Upreti, and Chief of Army Staff, Prabhuram Sharma, also graced the occasion.
