During their meeting, they deliberated on matters of mutual interest, emphasizing the significant partnership between the two nations. Admiral Aquilino expressed appreciation for Nepal’s valuable contributions to UN peacekeeping missions, highlighting the country’s unwavering commitment to global peace and security.

Admiral Aquilino’s visit to Kathmandu follows his active participation in a multinational peacekeeping exercise called Shanti Prayas, jointly organized by the Nepal Army and the US Indo-Pacific Command. The primary objective of this exercise is to enhance cooperation and interoperability among participating nations in peacekeeping operations.

Having arrived via New Delhi on Saturday, Admiral Aquilino’s visit underscores the importance of military cooperation between Nepal and the United States in promoting regional stability and security.
