Nepal’s Foreign Minister, H.E. Mr. Narayan Prakash Saud, arrived in New Delhi to participate in the ninth edition of the prestigious Multilateral Forum, the ‘Raisina Dialogue.’ Upon his arrival at the airport, Anurag Srivastava, Head of Nepal Desk at the Ministry of External Affairs, India, extended a warm welcome to Minister Saud.
During his visit, Minister Saud has a busy schedule, including crucial meetings with high-level dignitaries from the Indian government and representatives from other participating countries. Ambassador of Nepal to India, Dr. Shankar P Sharma, also welcomed Saud at the Nepal Embassy in India.
On the same day, Foreign Minister Saud engaged in a bilateral meeting with Gabrielius Landsbergis, Lithuania’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, in New Delhi. They discussed ways to strengthen relations between their respective countries and reviewed the geopolitical landscape.
Continuing his diplomatic engagements, Minister Saud met Elina Valtonen, Finland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, during the Raisina Dialogue. They exchanged views on enhancing bilateral relationships.
Minister Saud was also present at the Raisina Dialogue’s opening ceremony in New Delhi. Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis delivered the inaugural speech, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi served as the chief guest. Dignitaries from around the world attended this significant event.
Furthermore, during the Raisina Dialogue, Foreign Minister NP Saud engaged in discussions with Richard R Verma, Deputy Secretary of State, covering various aspects of the bilateral relationship.
On the same day, Minister Saud held a bilateral meeting with Krišjānis Kariņš, Latvia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, in New Delhi. They explored avenues for further promoting bilateral relations between Nepal and Latvia, as well as cooperation in multilateral forums.
Additionally, Minister Saud met with D. N. Dhungyel, Bhutan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Trade, exchanging views on further enhancing bilateral relations, especially in the context of regional cooperation.
The Raisina Dialogue serves as a vital platform for diplomatic dialogue and collaboration, bringing together leaders and experts from across the globe to address pressing global challenges.
