The collaboration between Nepal and INTER PARES- Parliaments in Partnership, a EU global initiative aimed at enhancing parliamentary capabilities worldwide, reached a significant milestone with a diplomatic gathering in Kathmandu.
Convened by the Committee on International Relations and Tourism of Nepal, the meeting brought together representatives from INTER PARES PARLIAMENTS from the EU, marking a momentous stride towards concerted action and shared objectives.

Under the leadership of Hon. Raj Kishore Yadav, Chairperson of the committee, the event witnessed the participation of notable personalities from both sides, including Jonathan Murphy, Andrea Wolfe, and Carlotta Viaggio, underscoring the dedication of Nepal and INTER PARES to advancing parliamentary excellence.
The discussions centered on pivotal issues such as maintaining a well-balanced foreign policy, effectively implementing federalism, addressing resource limitations, fostering international engagement, and tackling youth disillusionment. Andrea Wolfe’s inquiries underscored the commitment to fostering robust partnership and collaboration.
Chairman Yadav concluded the session by extending gratitude to the INTER PARES team and indicating ongoing dialogues aimed at bolstering parliamentary standards and global cooperation.
