Rabi Lamichhane, chairman of Nepal’s ruling Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), held talks with Sergio Gor, a senior envoy of US President Donald Trump, in New Delhi on Thursday evening.
The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation and strengthening relations between Nepal and the United States, according to party sources.
Following the meeting, Gor shared details on X, describing the discussion as productive and reaffirming Washington’s commitment to its partnership with Nepal.
Lamichhane is currently in India on a five-day visit at the invitation of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). During his stay, he held meetings with several senior Indian leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, and BJP President Nitin Nabin.
On Thursday evening, Lamichhane traveled to Lucknow, where he was received by senior BJP leaders and party representatives at the airport.
He is scheduled to return to Nepal today upon completion of his official engagements in India.
The delegation accompanying Lamichhane includes his spouse Nekita Paudel, RSP Joint General Secretary and House of Representatives member Bipin Kumar Acharya, RSP Secretariat member and House of Representatives member Deepak Bohara, and personal secretary Pradeep Acharya.
