Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ has emphasized the significance of the ‘National Cadet Corps’ program in fostering stronger bilateral relations with friendly nations’ armed forces.

This program provides a crucial platform for the Nepal Army to engage with military counterparts from other South Asian countries.

During a recent meeting at Singha Durbar, where military trainees participated in a training exchange program under the National Cadet Corps (NCC), Prachanda expressed confidence that this initiative would promote mutual understanding and respect across socio-economic and cultural boundaries. He stated, “This event will transcend invisible borders between nations, reinforcing the idea that our world is an interconnected community.”

Prachanda believes such programs play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation. By instilling dedication, discipline, and responsibility, they prepare young individuals to become future leaders and responsible citizens. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of nationalism, leadership, self-confidence, and voluntary service for the country.

Likewise, Prachanda highlighted that the program not only boosts self-esteem among youth but also inspires them to actively participate in community development and respond during times of need.

The National Cadet Corps has facilitated exchanges between Nepal, India, Pakistan, and the Maldives, fostering environmental awareness and knowledge among energetic youth.
