Yesterday’s visit began with a kind greeting at Delhi Airport, following an invitation from the Indian Parliamentary Committee. The Joint Secretary and Chief Protocol Officer of the Indian Parliament greeted the group from Nepal, stressing the importance of the visit in fostering bilateral relations.

The team was welcomed by the Nepal Embassy in India before they met with Speaker Birla. The main topics of discussion at the meeting were the social and economic ties between the two countries. The discussions emphasized the shared goal of developing closer relationships.

The delegation has received strategic recommendations from the Nepali Embassy during their tour, with an emphasis on important areas of interaction with the Indian side.

The concerns that are emphasized include making it easier for Nepali people to obtain SIM cards, advocating for reasonable tuition rates in educational institutions so that Nepali students may compete with Indian students, and tackling the ongoing problem of human trafficking.
