Nepal’s ambassador to China, Dr. Krishna Prasad Oli, has called on Nepali students, academicians, experts, and professionals residing in China to contribute their knowledge and expertise to Nepal’s development and prosperity.
Acknowledging the exceptional performance of Nepali professionals and students abroad, particularly in China, Ambassador Oli emphasized the importance of their role in fostering Nepal’s progress. He urged them to channel their skills and experiences back into the country to help build a better and brighter future for Nepal.
The ambassador shared these sentiments during a program hosted by the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing on Saturday, organized to mark the Chinese New Year and Spring Festival. The event aimed to share festive greetings, strengthen goodwill, and deepen the connection within the Nepali diaspora.
Addressing the attendees, Ambassador Oli highlighted the crucial contribution of the Nepali diaspora in supporting Nepal’s socio-economic development. He also underscored the significance of maintaining strong ties with both Nepali and Chinese communities to enhance collaboration and mutual understanding.

“Nepal is a nation of visionary thinkers and scientists. We should take pride in our heritage and work towards improving our country by integrating modern science and technology,” said Ambassador Oli. He also recited Sanskrit mantras to illustrate the scientific foundation of Nepal’s ancient civilization.

The program drew over 150 participants, including journalists, professionals, professors, and students from various disciplines. It concluded with a traditional Nepali lunch, fostering a sense of community and cultural celebration.
