Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Narayan Kaji Shrestha met with the Acting Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ali Bagheri Kani, in Tehran on Sunday.
The meeting took place on the eve of the 19th session of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) foreign ministers in Tehran.

The discussions focused on the goals and collaborative opportunities within the ACD framework. The two foreign ministers also exchanged views on enhancing bilateral cooperation between Nepal and Iran.
The ACD is an intergovernmental organization consisting of 35 Asian countries.
Minister Shrestha is leading the Nepali delegation at the ACD meeting in Tehran commencing today (June 24).

During his visit, DPM Shrestha will also hold several bilateral meetings with the foreign ministers of other member states.
He is scheduled to return home on June 26.
