The Korean Government, through the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), will allocate USD 9.8 million to create green jobs in Pokhara, Nepal.
The project aims to establish 30 Recycle Upcycle (RU) enterprises, fostering sustainable recycling and upcycling practices.
These efforts will generate numerous green jobs in Pokhara. Additionally, the project will create a Green Venture Zone (GVZ) to showcase products made from recycled and upcycled materials.
The initiative also focuses on behavioral changes related to waste management.
Finance Secretary Madhukumar Marasini expressed gratitude for Korea’s support, while Ambassador Teyong Park highlighted the project’s potential impact on Nepal’s economic development.
