On Sunday, Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa touched down in Nepal for a whirlwind one-day visit. Her arrival was in response to an invitation extended by Nepalese Foreign Minister Narayankaji Shrestha.
Upon landing at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, Yoko received a warm welcome from Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Yoko’s itinerary includes a courtesy meeting with President Ram Chandra Paudel and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on the same day. Additionally, a bilateral formal dialogue with Foreign Minister Shrestha is on the agenda, during which all aspects of Nepal-Japan relations will be thoroughly reviewed.
Furthermore, discussions regarding cooperation on the international stage are anticipated, as stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Yoko Kamikawa’s visit marks the fourth time a foreign minister has visited Nepal since the establishment of Nepal-Japan relations.
