Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha has stressed the need to prioritize economic prosperity alongside political changes.
Speaking at a program organized by the Gorkha Journalists’ Society in Kathmandu, he called upon all stakeholders to actively contribute to economic growth.
Shrestha underscored the critical role of media in supporting the government’s agenda for economic prosperity. He encouraged journalists to foster an environment conducive to strengthening economic development and prosperity.
“Socioeconomic transformation, development, and prosperity are paramount,” he emphasized.
Additionally, Shrestha highlighted the urgency of addressing transitional justice issues to pave the way for lasting peace in the country.
He also expressed Nepal’s commitment to diplomatic excellence, considering global changes and geopolitics.
Furthermore, DPM Shrestha acknowledged the significant role of Gorkha district in the country’s political transformation.
He urged journalists from Gorkha to raise constructive issues that contribute to positive change.
During the event, the Chairman of the Society, Pradip Raj Onta, announced the Society’s support for development projects in Gorkha district. Moreover, a calendar published by the Society was unveiled during the occasion.
