Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Chinese Ambassador in Nepal Chen Song engaged in discussions, during a meeting held at Baluwatar on Wednesday.
According to sources from Baluwatar, the meeting lasted approximately an hour early in the morning.

The discussions revolved around bilateral interests and mutual priorities.
Ambassador Song expressed keen interest in the effective implementation of agreements established during Prime Minister Prachanda’s recent visit to China, particularly focusing on Chinese initiatives such as the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
During Prime Minister Prachanda’s visit to China, Nepal, and China had signed 13 significant agreements.
However, concerns have arisen within China regarding the perceived lack of attention towards the BRI project, which is considered a cornerstone of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s strategic vision for regional connectivity and economic cooperation.
Chinese BRI aims to bolster connectivity and trade networks across Eurasian countries through the Silk Road Economic Belt and the Maritime Silk Road.
