Parliamentary Delegation Conducted Meetings with UP’s Top Officials

A delegation from the International Relations and Tourism Committee under the House of Representatives, currently visiting India, conducted fruitful meetings with key officials from Uttar Pradesh, including Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel.

Led by Chairman Rajkishore Yadav, the delegation gathered at Chief Minister Yogi’s residence in Lucknow on Tuesday for discussions aimed at enhancing cooperation and harmony between Nepal and India. Described as productive, the talks centered on avenues for bolstering bilateral ties and exploring collaboration opportunities across various sectors.

Furthermore, committee members engaged in constructive dialogues with Governor Patel, focusing on promoting educational exchange, language teaching initiatives, and facilitating student visits between the two nations. Governor Patel’s secretariat underscored the importance of educational exchanges in strengthening ties, emphasizing cultural understanding and academic cooperation.

As a gesture of appreciation, Governor Patel’s secretariat presented the Nepali delegation with books and tokens, symbolizing the commitment to fostering friendly relations between the two neighboring regions.

The eight-member delegation, comprising prominent parliamentarians, expressed optimism about the outcomes of the discussions and reaffirmed Nepal’s dedication to strengthening ties with India at both regional and national levels.
