The Lumbini Lions clinched their first-ever Nepal Premier League championship with a commanding six-wicket win over the Sudurpaschim Royals in the final at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.

The Royals, batting first, were dismissed for 85 runs in 19.1 overs. Ishan Pandey’s 33 runs were the lone notable contribution in a stifling bowling performance from the Lions. Ruben Trumpelmann, Sher Malla, and captain Rohit Paudel each took three wickets.

In response, the Lions chased down the target decisively, finishing at 86 for four in just nine overs. The innings was propelled by a blistering 42 runs off 13 balls from Dinesh Adhikari, who struck five sixes. Captain Paudel added 16 runs to guide his team to victory.

With this win, the Lumbini Lions secured the NPL trophy, while the Sudurpaschim Royals finished as runners-up.
